It’s probably what I love most about writing—that words can be used in a way that’s like a child playing in a sandpit, rearranging things, swapping them around. They’re the best moments in a day of writing—when an image appears that you didn’t know would be there when you started work in the morning.” –  Markus Zusak, The Book Thief

Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring, means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence.”― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, Manon, Ballerina

I hope something happens. I’m restless as the devil and have a horror of getting fat or falling in love and growing domestic.”  ― F. Scott Fitzgerald, This Side of Paradise

We forget all too soon the things we thought we could never forget. We forget the loves and the betrayals alike, forget what we whispered and what we screamed, forget who we were. I have already lost touch with a couple of people I used to be;― Joan Didion, Slouching Towards Bethlehem

I’m so happy I was finally able to visit your blog! I’m doing it from my iPhone por some reason your site doesn’t open from my PC! 😩

I love book quotes! Some of my favorite are from Red Rising:

We grew together, and now are grown. In her eyes, I see my heart. In her breath, I hear my soul. She is my land. She is my kin. My love.

I am the Reaper and death is my shadow.

‘I live for the dream that my children will be born free. That they will be what they like. That they will own the land their father gave them.’
‘I live for you,’ I say sadly.
She kisses my cheek. ‘Then you must live for more.’

You do not follow me because I am the strongest. Pax is. You do not follow me because I am the brightest. Mustang is. You follow me because you do not know where you are going. I do.

Thanks for sharing your list Gayathri!

These are some good ones. I will definitely check that book out as well. If you had so many quotes from a single book, then it should be something, right?
