An update on the Christmas week: Sunday Musings #103

You know that I get too excited during this season, even if I don’t celebrate Christmas. And every year I make it a point to go see as many Christmas trees and decors as possible. I did the same this year as well.

How was your weekend? What did you do and what did you eat? Please do share pictures of the Christmas decors. Let's talk. Click To Tweet

Also I met my book club after a year or so in person. And we had a lot to chat about, including books. On the whole it was a good week, I suppose.

Can’t wait to read your Christmas and holiday related posts, everyone! Hope you guys had a good one.

What I read this week

OK I am still racing against the clock to reach the 45 books target for the year and I am on my 42nd book now. I am currently reading In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren

This week I read

  • Hercule Poirot’s Christmas by Agatha Christie
  • Heartstopper by Alice Oseman

I hope I can reach my goals!

What I watched this week

It is the holidays. Of course I spent a lot of time on Netflix and Amazon binging. Don’t judge me!

This week I watched Kaley Cuoco’s Flight attendant and it was hilarious and intriguing.

And then I went on to watch “the Night of”, which had a similar storyline as Flight attendant at first glance. But it was so serious than the other one.

The best watch of the week was the Netflix’s Korean film The Call. My mind blown at the way the film held us in suspense until the credits rolled in. I loved it, catch it up if you can.

We were able to drive around and see a lot of lights this year. It didn’t feel quite the same as walking around neighborhoods and parks full of lights, but it felt good enough for 2020.

I’m glad you were able to meet with your book club!

Good luck finishing your challenge! Happy New Year!

Sounds like a good week with books and relaxing! I have photos of decorations in my post. My daughter is very creative and made some origami ornaments. I just read things I wanted to read which was nice.

Gayathri, lovely to hear you were able to meet your book club after so long 😊 and that you’ve been enjoying the Christmas decorations. 🎄 My Christmas was a very, very quiet one as I tested positive for Covid, however I was still well enough to enjoy a hearty Christmas lunch of roast turkey, stuffing, pigs-in-blankets and all the trimmings! 😋

We didn’t do much here, my Christmas tree is very small (and out of the cats’ reach), we’ll be celebrating tomorrow with my daughters. It’s more an occasion to be together and offer presents than anything else for us. Thank you for your links, I made discoveries and now my head is filled with BuJo possibilities… Enjoy your week 🙂

I love this quiet, peaceful atmosphere we have both here at home, and outside these days. There are hardly any cars, and it’s just so nice.
We had a wonderful Christmas, we ate too much, and we had such a good time just being together.
Have a wonderful week ahead, Gayathri, and I hope you’ll be able to have more in-person book club meetings very soon!
