What did I miss?: Sunday Musings #123

It has been a while since I did a Sunday post or even blogged. How have you been? Is the New Year treating you alright? Well, it has been almost ten days and I am here online, so you are right that I have some of those โ€œnew year, new meโ€ vibes sticking to me.

But it is 2022, and let me not forget that I barely survived got through the last few two years, so I am going to keep everything as light as possible, and not have huge plans or overhauls. Basically all I am going to start with is doing the bare minimum on my blog and stick to flexi-schedule, and see how it goes.

How about you, guys? What did I miss in the blogging world?

What was your 2021 like? How many books did you read and how many are you planning to read? What did I miss in the blogging world? Let us talk. Click To Tweet

What I read this week

I had to scramble to finish my last yearโ€™s Goodreads reading challenge, but I did it finally. And that is why I want to pace myself by reading a book a week, for my 52 books goal for 2022. Of course, I will be a bit flexible with it. So fingers crossed.

So last week, I read The Girls I’ve Been by Tess Sharpe and currently reading These Violent Delights by Chloe Gong.

I will let you know how they were soon, okay?

What I watched this week

Did anyone watched the Netflix adaptation of Anxious People?

I loved the book, as I have mentioned earlier as well, but I was left disappointed with the adaptation. I think it missed the whole โ€œfeel goodโ€ factor that Beckmanโ€™s books are known for.

I will be linking todayโ€™s post with Caffeinated reviewerโ€™s Sunday post Meme.

On my blog

The official voting is out and 2021 was a shit show. But of everything that happened, I loved how consistent I was in blogging here and writing in few other places, for more than eight months in 2021.

Of course all good things have to come to an end. Or so it seemed, when I hit that dreaded burn out or crash that lasted almost since September. And it took quite an effort to get out of it, but here I am.

Pin me!

I think with everything that’s going on – it’s an achievement if we manage to show up online at all… Let’s hope the coming year is going to be a huge improvement – and many thanks for swinging by and your kind comments:).

The last two years have awful in so many ways. I’m very hopeful for 2022 that I will be able to stay centered on love this year, despite all the awfulness.

The important thing is that you made it back. And I’m glad you did.

Can’t wait to see what you will be reading and reviewing this year.

Nice to see a post from you again! Iโ€™ve taken a much more relaxed/flexible approach to blogging over the last year or two and itโ€™s been a welcome change. I blog when I can/want to and otherwise donโ€™t worry about it. Some weeks that means no posts at all, and Iโ€™m fine with that. ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully 2022 will be kinder to us all.

I haven’t read or watched Anxious People! My friend didn’t like the book. I’m curious about both.

Hey Gayathri! Lovely to have you back! Don’t worry you didn’t miss too much on my blog, as I sort of disappeared over November and I am only just getting back into the swing of things! ๐Ÿ˜… My 2021 reading numbers were good though, as I finished 45 books, which is up a bit from 2020. ๐ŸŽ‰

Happy New Year and Welcome Back! Yes, 2021 has not been the best year around, but hopefully we will look back on it in a couple of years time and see that we’ve learned from it.

I hope the new year will be kind to you and pacing yourself is never a bad thing!

Happy New Year! Being flexible blogging wise seems like a good plan. Good luck with your Goodreads challenge! I went with 12 as my goal, which I will be surprised if I don’t reach. I’ve heard a lot of good things about These Violent Delights. I hope you like it.
