Are you one of those summer people? I am definitely not and that may or may not something to do with the fact that I am from a hot tropical country and am currently living in the middle of a desert.
Anyway, I am already hyped that the last leg of summer is already here, not that the humidity is any indication of that. And I just realized all I do in the weekend posts is complain about the climate. So moving on to other news.
I have had a very productive week in terms of binge watching Netflix. Yes I am on Marvel phase and I went through Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil and Iron Fist all in the past two weeks. And Oh my, Mike Colter as Luke Cage is damn freaking hot! RIGHT?
I am just gonna leave this here.
Also I watched the new Ant Man and the wasp, Fallout- Mission Impossible and a Tamil movie in the theaters. It goes without saying that I have not got much of reading done.
All is not lost because I am currently reading ‘The Forty rules of Love‘ and am liking it. I have been recommended the book by at least three different sources and yet it took me so long to get to it.
I have been to ask you WordPress users, whats with this new editor Gutenberg? Did any one else get the hang of it yet? I agree I have only tried it once before and I didn’t like it. I would give it a try again, but any pointers and why does it have to be so complicated?
Around the blogosphere
I know it has been a while since I shared nuggets from around the internet web that I liked but here are a few that I found last week.
- This interesting post on if reading makes us smarter will help you out the next time you run out of smarter things to say.
- I have been meaning to read The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck, but lets face it, I have got too many books on my TBR that we will never know when I will reach for this one. But I liked this post of his on stop trying to change yourself.
I will be linking today’s post with Caffeinated reviewer’s Sunday post Meme.

Let us chat
How was your week? What did you read or watch? And are you ready for the summer to be done and dusted already? Let us talk.
I LOVED Ant-Man and the Wasp!!! And I really enjoyed Mission Impossible: Fallout. Next week it’s Crazy Rich Asians!!
I have been trying to work with the Gutenberg editor. Why does it feel so much more harder to use than the previous editor?! I am hoping that it is just because it’s new, and it will get easier with more use.
I finally got used to Gutenberg. How about you?
My reading has slowed a lot. I love Luke Cage, though.
Same here. I blame too much Netflixing.
I’m not a summer person… Autumn all the way!
I saw Antman and The Wasp lately too and I quite enjoyed it but not as much as the first.
Have a good week!
I had the same feeling about the new Antman, too. It was kinda okayish but not too great.
I spent an entire morning trying to make one post on the new editor and gave up and went back to the classic as I felt like I was wasting my time. Although it looks sleek, it will just take some getting used to as the icons for the tasks I’m used to using and seeing aren’t easy to find. I think I need remedial training or blogging special ed…
I will be trying it again but not right away. It is pretty exhausting.
Currently part way through second series of Luke Cage. I haven’t seen Ant man and the Wasp yet.
Luke Cage was great!
I like spring and summer the best now. It used to be fall and winter but no more. =)
No more summer for me!
I’m not a summer person. I get cranky and melt in the heat. I’m a fall person because it’s not hot, but there’s no snow yet. I’m not a snow person, either.
We do not have ‘fall’ as such, being in desert and all. But I love the season for the same reason.
I think we all complain about the weather. 🙂 I know I do on the regular! And yes to Luke Cage- I’m watching S2 now.
Oh I loved it. I liked the villain as well, a great improvement from Diamondback in the S1.
I’m afraid to try the new editor. I looked through the little tutorial it provides but it seems so complicated from the one I’m already using. I plan on using it with the next post I write, so I hope it goes well.
I usually write my post on Evernote and do a quick copy paste on WP’s editor. And that seems harder in the new editor. Maybe I will give it a try again.
