You know that I get too excited during this season, even if I don’t celebrate Christmas. And every year I make it a point to go see as many Christmas trees and decors as possible. I did the same this year as well.
How was your weekend? What did you do and what did you eat? Please do share pictures of the Christmas decors. Let's talk. Share on XAlso I met my book club after a year or so in person. And we had a lot to chat about, including books. On the whole it was a good week, I suppose.
Can’t wait to read your Christmas and holiday related posts, everyone! Hope you guys had a good one.
What I read this week
OK I am still racing against the clock to reach the 45 books target for the year and I am on my 42nd book now. I am currently reading In A Holidaze by Christina Lauren
This week I read
- Hercule Poirot’s Christmas by Agatha Christie
- Heartstopper by Alice Oseman
I hope I can reach my goals!
What I watched this week
It is the holidays. Of course I spent a lot of time on Netflix and Amazon binging. Don’t judge me!
This week I watched Kaley Cuoco’s Flight attendant and it was hilarious and intriguing.
And then I went on to watch “the Night of”, which had a similar storyline as Flight attendant at first glance. But it was so serious than the other one.
The best watch of the week was the Netflix’s Korean film The Call. My mind blown at the way the film held us in suspense until the credits rolled in. I loved it, catch it up if you can.

I am glad you’ve been enjoying the festive times and that you were able to meet up with your book club group in person for the first time in a long time! I love Heartstopper – it’s so cute :3
Thank you. I loved the whole series too.
How wonderful that you were able to meet in person with your book club. A little piece of the old normal. I hope you’re enjoying In a Holidaze. I thought it was a lot of fun. And good luck meeting your goal… grab some short books and you can do it! ๐
I did exactly that. Thank you for suggesting it.
Good luck hitting your reading goals!
Hope you have a happy new year when the time comes.
Good luck with reaching your 45 book goal. Sounds like you are going to do it. I’m enjoying the Flight Attendant. It’s really good. Hope you have a great week! Happy New Year!
Thank you!
We were able to drive around and see a lot of lights this year. It didn’t feel quite the same as walking around neighborhoods and parks full of lights, but it felt good enough for 2020.
I’m glad you were able to meet with your book club!
Good luck finishing your challenge! Happy New Year!
Yes the same.
working on my BuJo right now so I’m going to check out that inspiration post!
DO share your pages soon!
Sounds like you had a great week! I love that you where able to spend time with your book club in person again. That must have been so nice!
Those holiday trees and Christmas lights everywhere definitely are magical to me.
Have a great week and happy reading!
I love the Christmas season too!
Sounds like a good week with books and relaxing! I have photos of decorations in my post. My daughter is very creative and made some origami ornaments. I just read things I wanted to read which was nice.

Gayathri, lovely to hear you were able to meet your book club after so long ๐ and that you’ve been enjoying the Christmas decorations. ๐ My Christmas was a very, very quiet one as I tested positive for Covid, however I was still well enough to enjoy a hearty Christmas lunch of roast turkey, stuffing, pigs-in-blankets and all the trimmings! ๐
I am also on the last stretch of my reading challenge. Three to go and I am busy with all 3. Feel quite positive that I’ll make it! I’ll hold thumbs for you!
Have a good week and if we don’t chat again before Sunday, happy new year!!!

Yay, on winning the challenge! And thank you!
We didn’t do much here, my Christmas tree is very small (and out of the cats’ reach), we’ll be celebrating tomorrow with my daughters. It’s more an occasion to be together and offer presents than anything else for us. Thank you for your links, I made discoveries and now my head is filled with BuJo possibilities… Enjoy your week ๐
I am glad to be of help!
I love this quiet, peaceful atmosphere we have both here at home, and outside these days. There are hardly any cars, and it’s just so nice.
We had a wonderful Christmas, we ate too much, and we had such a good time just being together.
Have a wonderful week ahead, Gayathri, and I hope you’ll be able to have more in-person book club meetings very soon!
I love seeing all the holiday trees too. So festive this time of year!
I still need to read Hercule Poirot’s Christmas…
Have a super week!
