One week into the New year and I am still pumped up with motivation and buzz. I have been making goal tracking spreadsheets not just for me but for friends as well.
In case you missed the memo, I am a total spreadsheets addict who tracks everything from blog traffic to daily to do lists. Hit me up if you have any spreadsheet queries.
On this episode of #SundayPost, I talk about my love for spreadsheets and about getting featured on the National Daily! What was your week like? Share on XOn other news, my interview got featured in the UAE national daily Khaleej Times this Friday. Of course I spoke about books, in case you had the slightest of doubts about it.
What I read this week
I finished reading One day in December this week. I read for the 2020 A to Z reading challenge and ticking off the January mini challenge hosted by Ginger Mom and Company.
What I watched this week
I watched Toy Story 4 (finally) and I loved it, as expected.
I have not watched TV or Netflix in a while, so that may be a good thing I guess.
On my blog
In case you had missed, here is a quick recap of what I posted on my blog this week.
The One With 2019 Updates: Sunday Musings #61
On Monday I reviewed The Dinner by Herman Koch
On Friday I wrote a discussion post on Why Don’t Book Reviews Get Much Engagement?
I will be linking today’s post with Caffeinated reviewer’s Sunday post Meme.
Around the blogosphere
I finally got around to blog hop a bit and found these brilliant articles from these brilliant bloggers.
- Xandra’s post on Starry Sky Books about her love/hate relationship with blogging resonated well with me. I went through almost a similar journey around last two years.B
- riana from Pages Unbound posted her tips to get more traffic to your book blog in 2020.
- Sam from WLABB questioned why we can’t let people like things and sent me on a thought spiral.

Thank you!
I always love your weekly wrap-ups! I used to do them for a while but it got too hectic around here and I couldn’t keep up with them. Yay on your interview feature – that’s absolutely fantastic!!
Spreadsheets are amazing! They keep my so organized! Congratulations on your interview being featured! That’s so exciting! I hope you have a lovely week!
How amazing , I’m no good at spreadsheets, great post
Thank you!
Congrats to you but I must confess – spreadsheets make my eyes cross 😉
Congratulations
How awesome! Congrats on the interview.
Congrats on the feature. Great way to start the year. I still need to get round to watching Toy Story 4 too.
I need to get around to watching Toy Story 4!
Ah such a fun feature! Congratulations! Also I still have not seen Toy Story 4 and feel like my Disney card has to be revoked because I’m so far behind.
Congratulations on being featured in the papers, it looks so good.
Congratulations on the interview, Gayathri. That’s amazing. The Hate U Give is one of my favorites too. I am yet to read Atwood though. And I love spreadsheets too 😀
Congrats on the interview! I love spreadsheets too! I only use them for tracking my reading and blogging stats, though. I use notebooks for everything else. I hope you have a good week.
Congratulations on the feature! I really like the quote you shared as your favorite. I grew up reading the Calvin and Hobbes comic stripes that came out in the paper every day. My husband has a few of the collections. I adore Calvin. I have yet to read The Virgin Suicides. I did read the author’s Middlesex and quite liked that. I will have to check out his earlier book.
Spreadsheets are addicting! I think it’s great that you enjoy them so much.
I hope you have a great week, Gayathri!
Congrats on the interview.
Spreadsheets are hard, though it might make tracking my challenges easier.
Wishing you a great reading week
I love spreadsheets! My problem is I can’t keep up with updating them. 🙂
OMG, you’re famous! How wild to see yourself in print. I love it! I feel like my daughter and I are outliers. We watched Toy Story 4 on our cruise, and I had to stop her from throwing popcorn at the screen. The ending. It just seemed to go against the whole TS philosophy – no toy gets left behind. I hope to read your thoughts on One Day in December. Gosh! I loved that book. Thank you for sharing my post. XOXO
One Day In December is on my TBR so I’m glad to hear you enjoyed it. Congrats on the interview and I hope you have a good week!
Congrats on your interview- how awesome!! I love Calv and Hobbes!
Congrats on the feature! Love your love for spreadsheets – I do to make of them at work to incorporate them in my daily life too (except for the budgeting one).
Have a lovely week!
More power to spreadsheets!
Congrats on your feature.
