Is Dubai’s summer done?: Sunday Musings #93

I know I have been complaining about the weather down here in Dubai for a long time now, four to six months now, and it is gonna stop right now – at least for now. YES, the summer is finally gone and the temperature is slowly receding.

By that I mean, I don’t have to run the aircon 18 hours a day right now. I know there is a bit of time for the official “fall”, but I will take it as a win for now.

So how is the weather wherever you are at now? Is the Dubai summer finally done?

What I read this week

I am currently reading The Guest list by Lucy Foley. And I finished Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens during the week.

I am happy to announce that both the books are good ones for me.

What I watched this week

I missed watching the Umbrella Academy S2 as soon as it came out. So I am catching up.

In fact I rewatched the season 1 during the week and now I am on season 2, which I am really enjoying. Klaus is still my favorite!

I hope you are enjoying The Guest List.

Here in Scotland the early morning temperatures are close to freezing, it’s definitely autumn here.

After having a very sunny week. The weather is changing this week. It’s been raining and although I don’t like rain.. I love the fact things are feeling more cozy now.
Have a great week and happy reading.

I’m glad the temperature is cooling for you! I complain when it’s hot in the summer here in the UK, but I imagine it’s nothing like the heat there! We have had a surprisingly hot summer though.
And I really need to catch up on the Umbrella Academy soon! I still haven’t finished season 1!

We’re finally feeling the warm summer days (Sep to Nov) in San Francisco. This is normal as the usual summer months (Jun to Aug) are usually cold and foggy. Have a good week.

I’m glad the weather is cooling for you! I love summer and warm temps but Dubai would be too hot for me.

I might like S2 of The Umbrella Academy even more than S1 so far. I think we’re 6 episodes in. Klaus is my favorite this time around but Five was my favorite in S1. That kid is an amazing actor! He really comes across as a cranky old man in a kid’s body!

    Enjoy your (cooler) week!

Hi Elgee! We don’t really celebrate Halloween in South Africa, so I tend to leave any reading plans for Halloween mostly till the last week of October. But I’ll have a peek at your suggestions!

I need summer to come now. I’m tired of the winter.

So glad you enjoyed Where the Crawdads sing and I desperately want to read The Guest List! Hopefully someone will buy it for book club.

Hope you will have a wonderful week.

Glad to hear the temperature has finally dropped for you and that you have been enjoying both your reading and viewing. We have actually enjoyed a gloriously sunny week here in the UK and while my reading has been slow, I been enjoying the bits of reading I have been doing. While my viewing had been dominated by the fantastical The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance series on Netflix. Take care and happy reading and viewing in the coming week. πŸ˜ƒ

I’m glad it’s cooling off for you finally. It’s been cooling off here too- to be honest, a little quicker than we’re used to, as September is still usually a fairly warm month. Hope you have a great weekend. πŸ™‚
