Heya people.
I am so excited for this week to begin. My best friend is getting married this Thursday and I will get to meet many of my gal friends. Some of whom I have not met for years now. I can hardly wait.
I have taken to playing Sudoku daily. I play at least 3 games and I am trying to beat my own scores. Is anyone else playing it? Is there an iOS app that you recommend?
I finally finished ‘The Forty Rules of Love’ by Elif Shafak. I am disappointed that I didn’t love it despite it had many things going right for it.
I am kinda lost with A-Z challenge as I am dealing with letters that are hard to find books with. Any book suggestion is welcome.
Around the blogosphere
I spent a lot of time hopping several blogs this week and I come here bearing the ones I loved.
- Are you a writer writing about children as your characters? I found this useful resource by Fiona to help you out.
- On another fun post from the Book Storm girl she asked to share your snarky side in relation to your blog’s spam.
- As someone who has been taking several unplanned hiatuses in the recent past, I needed this post by Bookwryming Thoughts on why it is okay to take break from blogging to reduce me of the guilt.
- I loved the discussion post that Kaleena published on Reader Voracious on her favorite bookish pet peeves. You can find it here..
Terri shared her list of favorite books on writing on her blog Terri Luvs Books. And needless to say, I loved them.
I will be linking today’s post with Caffeinated reviewer’s Sunday post Meme.
On my blog
Take a look at what you may have missed this week on Elgeewrites.
On Monday I published a review on The Vegetarian, which happened to be my 100th book review on my blog.
On Wednesday we had a discussion on what makes me scream when I read YA literature.
Feel free to follow me on any of these social media as well as my blog here.

How great you get to see your old friends at your best friend’s wedding. ❤️Enjoy and give your friends an extra hug!
Congrats on 100 reviews!
Never played Sudoku. But if it helps the brain…🧐
I had such a great fun last week. And thanks <3
Have fun at the wedding!! I am playing Sudoku on paper so there is actually no score unless I time myself, I guess.
Also, you could read Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami for the letter K! I have not read it, but I enjoy most of Murakami’s books and this one is on my TBR!
I have not gotten to the letter K yet. I might as well look into your suggestion.
Ahh congrats to your friend !! forward her my best wishes xx
I used to play sudoku alot trying to sleep xD it worked, ahaha as im not one to use the mini letters and wanna do all of it by memory and going one number after the other.
I totally depend on the mini letters and I also race the timer.
Oh have fun with your friends! I’ve never tried playing sudoku, not sure how to play. I always thought about trying though. 🙂 Have a great week!
Sudoku is fun and supposedly good for the brain matter. You should try it.

I’ve never played Sudoku but it sounds fun? Thanks for sharing the links- I like it when bloggers do that, it helps to see posts I otherwise might never see. 🙂
And congrats on your 100th review!
Sudoku supposedly improves grey matter, though that is not my main aim while playing.
