The one about drawing and a movie: Sunday Musings #131

I am not a huge artist, but I do try to draw once in a while. And they rarely turn out good, I only do them because they are fun to do.

That is also the reason why I wanted to learn how to draw, and I found artist Michael Markowsky’s basic drawing tutorials on the Youtube.

I have been working on them for the past 4 weeks. You won’t believe how much I enjoy these an hour or so sessions each week. Maybe, give it a try if you are into drawing and such.

What’s up with you, guys?

What I read this week

I am currently reading two books, that I grabbed from library a few weeks ago:

What I watched this week

We watched the new Jurassic World Dominion movie. It was a hoot to watch in IMAX, but the movie was chaotic – too many people, too many subplots, and too much coincidence.

And too few dinosaurs. Honestly they were like props in the movie, and the stories had nothing to do with them.

I am also re-watching Kim’s convenience after work.

We re-watched the original Jurassic Park this week. I don’t know if we’re ready to go back to theaters yet, but we are excited to see the new one.

I wish I could draw but even my stick figures look bad. I’m glad you found a hobby that makes you happy!

    Enjoy your week!

I would love to be able to draw but I am truly dreadful at most artistic endeavours. My total lack of hand-eye coordination doesn’t help. I hope you continue to enjoy your sessions/videos. Happy reading those two books!

I don’t draw well either, but I am accepting defeat yet!

I also went and saw the new Jurassic World movie. I enjoyed it, but yeah, I do think you’re right about maybe not enough dinosaurs. I loved how they brought in some from the first movie though, and other things that connected back. Hope you have a good week!

I love the original Jurassic Park, but I’m not a huge fan of any of the other movies. I did want to see the new one because Alan, Ellie, and Malcolm are back, but I don’t have high expectations. 😂

Good that you are not having high expectations, you might enjoy it better.

I wanted to watch the new Jurassic Park. We have a 3 year old so maybe won’t get round to it for a few years yet!

I enjoy Kim’s Convenience. My partner rewatches it whilst he is cooking dinner 😂

Hope you have a great week!

I hope you enjoy following the videos for drawing. Honestly it’s such a fun activity, I may try the videos too. I’m sad you didn’t enjoy the new Jurassic Park movie all that much. I’m waiting impatiently for Top Gun to come out on DVD so I can enjoy it at home in all its glory (I think if I went to the cinema it would be dubbed, and I refuse to not have the original voices lol). I hope you have a fantastic week ❤

Ooh Jurassic World is out! I forgot that was coming out. Bummer that there’s too few dinosaurs- i’ll go in with my expectations firmly in check. 🙂

    That art tutorial sounds fun.
