Okay I will say it for all of us! None of us can believe me September’20 is already done and we are in October already. And I can’t wait to see what the tenth month of 2020 is gonna throw at us. Actually just kidding, I wish there was not any more surprises.
How has your September'20 been? How many books did you read during the month? What did you enjoy watching on Netflix and TV? Let's talk. Share on XAnd this week has been a little weird for me. I have not been able to focus on anything, especially on my blog. I hope things will be better this week.
Quick September’20 updates
Let us a quick update on what September’20 was like.
- I worked on
a fewa lot of changes in my website and I am loving the entire theme. There are a few more kinks I have to focus on. - The weather is finally getting better these days and we hit the beach more than once during September and I am considering this a win.
- This was a great reading month for me. More on that in a bit.
What I read this month
As I mentioned already, for me September was the month I actually got out of the slight slacking I was doing in terms of books.
I read about 6 books which is a big deal, considering what I have been doing in the past few months. I am so glad I got back into the groove.
- Good Omens by Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Ayesha at Last by Uzma Jalaluddin ⭐⭐⭐
- Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Guest List, The by Lucy Foley ⭐⭐⭐
- Red at the Bone by Jacqueline Woodson ⭐⭐⭐⭐
- Extraordinaries, The by Klune T.J. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am glad you had a good reading month in September, both with reading and your A to Z reading challenge. I am always tempted to give it a try myself. One of these days perhaps. I think you’ve done a great job with your blog! What did you think of The Boys? I have been wondering if I would like it. I hope you have a great weekend.
I loved the Boys, perfect for Avenger fans.
Sounds like a pretty good month to me! Hope October has plenty of great things in store for you. 😀 I still need to read Good Omens but it’s nice to know that it’s an excellent one for you too!
Thank you. I hope you get to read it soon.
Nice to hear your weather was improving and you got some time by the beach! I enjoyed The Guest List. Loving your Instagram photos! I really need to make an account for Waves.
Thank you! I hope you do and I can follow you.
I’ve had the worst time trying to focus. I haven’t really found any good shows to watch lately, what did you think about the Umbrella Academy? Did you like it? I was thinking of giving that one a watch.
I loved the Umbrella Academy, and I think you should watch it too.
It really is hard to believe it’s October already. I feel like time is flying, but nothing seems to be settling down. I hope October will be a good month for you. Have a great week!
I totally agree!
I’ve struggled with focus since covid started. Luckily I’m not working at the moment (we’re traveling with my husband’s job), so it doesn’t really matter. On the blog and reading front, I just do what I want as I feel like it and accept that as the way it is right now. I think we all have to give ourselves some grace this year.
Out of curioisity, I did a quick glance through my GoodReads shelves for some U suggestions for your challenge. You might like Un Lun Dun by China Mieville or The Umbrella Academy graphic novels (fast reads). I loved Un Lun Dun. I only read the first Umbrella Academy but it was good and remarkably similar to the first season. All of my “Q” titles start with “Queen” except for “Quiet”. I don’t have any Xs to recommend for you. Tough challenge. Good luck!
Enjoy your week!
Thanks for the suggestions. I loved the Netflix adaptations of The Umbrella Academy, so I might try it. Un Lun Dun sounds great too!
I can’t believe it’s October either! In one way this year seems to have been the longest year ever, but it also seems to have flown by at the same time.
I’m glad you had a good reading month! Have a great October!
I love how you put my feelings into words about the year!
I’ve also had a hard time focusing lately. I feel like I’ve read a bunch, but I’ve barely finished any books. I’m glad you had a good reading month. Happy October!
I understand how frustrating that can be!
Hi there Elgee! I’m also doing an Alphabet challenge this year. But with a twist. I read books starting with the letters from the alphabet as well as authors. And I use & as a letter as well. I still have 13 books to go!
Here’s the ones I’ve read for the letters you still have outstanding:
I – If tomorrow comes by Sidney Sheldon
J – Jodie and the library card (was a quick read)
K – Kitty Confidential (also a quick read)
Q – Q is for Quarry by Sue Grafton (Still need to read)
U – Uprising (excellent read!!)
I will update my challenge somewhere this week and forward it to you.
I mentioned my challenge in my latest post as well! Here’s the link The Sunday Post #13
Hope you will have a good week!
Thank you so much for your suggestions. And I am looking forward to your challenge update too!
It’s scary, I can’t believe it’s October. Not only are the shops full of Halloween bits and bobs, they are full of festive treats.
How was Tenet, it looks bonkers!
Have a good week.
I loved Tenet. Did you enjoy it?
Hi! Oh yes, October already? Here’s hoping the last quarter is quiet and non-eventful.
My September was pretty good and reading wise excellent (for me). I finished 9 books and actually started up my blog again, which has been pretty much crickets for the past year or so.
I haven’t really been watching TV which isn’t new for me. Hubby and I have been rewatching Bones as we got up to season 6 I think before we just stopped watching TV?
Ahh, My Instagram has been a real paidn – I got ‘restricted’ for I don’t know what? So I have deactivated my account for now. I’ll try again this month and then decide what to do if it’s still not working.
Hope October is great for us both!
Wow 9 is a great number! Keep up the good work.
My September has flown by too, Gayathri! It flashed by in a blur of work though really and sadly, not much reading. The only book I finished was the classic adventure, The Black Corsair by Emilio Salgari. Here’s hoping October is a better reading month for me and a better blogging month for you. Take care! 🙂
I totally understand what you mean by fly by – it happens far too often for me too.
I’m shocked we’re in October already. Like, I knew September was gonna fly by, but man… that’s not even the word for it. and now it’s really cooling off here and that’s bringing it home even more!
Love the pics as usual!
Thank you. Can’t wait to see what October throws at us.
